The Atlanta Fibroid Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist (RT) specialized in Interventional Radiology (IR). In this role, you will operate advanced imaging equipment to assist our physicians during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures, primarily Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE).
Because our clinic focuses on specialized women's pelvic health treatments, we are ideally looking for a team member who can help our patients feel safe, respected, and comfortable throughout their care journey.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Procedure Assistance: Prepare the IR suite, scrub in, and assist the physician during specialized image-guided procedures (such as UFE).
- Imaging Operations: Operate fluoroscopy, X-ray, and digital angiography equipment safely, ensuring high-quality imaging and strict radiation safety protocols.
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for procedures, position them comfortably, and explain the imaging process to alleviate anxiety.
- Sterile Environment Management: Maintain a strict sterile field in the procedure room; manage and prepare specialized IR supplies (catheters, guide wires, embolic agents).
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate patient logs, imaging records, and equipment quality control checks.

- Certifications: Active certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R). Vascular Interventional (VI) radiography certification is highly preferred.
- Licensure: Valid state radiology license/registration.
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working in an Interventional Radiology (IR) suite, cardiac cath lab, or surgical imaging environment.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, radiation safety regulations, and specialized IR equipment.
