Quality Technician - Materials Tester

• Night shift
• 12 hour rotation
• $18/hr starting rate increases to $24.41/hr upon hire
• Contract to hire position - not seasonal or temporary

Performs laboratory tests to determine composition and failure mode of materials for such purposes as quality control, process control, customer returns or product development by performing the following duties:

• Performs testing activities for parts, components, and materials
• Cleanliness and upkeep of all lab equipment
• Prepares and conducts tests
• Records test results on standardized forms
• Mounts and secures experimental models on test devices and follows test procedures in prescribed sequence
• Notes and records performance data for evaluation, calling attention to deviations or variations not anticipated or indicated in testing specifications and instructions
• Evaluates failed fractured samples from testing in field
• Works closely with engineers on new, critical and involved test projects
• Set up, adjust and operates laboratory equipment and instruments
