Summary
As a Patient Escort, you will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient transport of patients within the healthcare facility. Reporting to the nursing staff, your role will involve providing compassionate patient care and support, particularly in nursing home environments. Core skills in basic life support and hospital experience will be vital, while your premium skills in home and community care will enhance patient interactions. Additionally, relevant experience in critical care transport will be beneficial in managing patients with specific needs, contributing to a seamless healthcare experience.
Responsibilities
Assist patients in moving to and from various locations within the healthcare facility, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Provide basic life support and patient care as needed, responding promptly to any medical emergencies.
Collaborate with nursing staff to facilitate smooth transitions for patients, particularly those with critical care needs.
Maintain a clean and organized environment in accordance with hospital standards, drawing on prior nursing home experience.
Support home and community care initiatives by engaging with patients and their families to enhance their overall experience.
Qualifications
Basic life support certification
Experience in patient care within a nursing home setting
Familiarity with hospital protocols and procedures
Knowledge of critical care transport methods
Skills in home and community care services
Ability to assist patients with mobility and daily activities
CNA License Required
