CNC Machinist – 2nd Shift
Location: Redford, MI
Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00pm-11:00pm) or (5:00pm-1:00am)
Compensation: $25/hr-$32/hr
Type: Full-Time
Pay: Based on experience + shift premium
About the Opportunity
A growing precision manufacturing facility is hiring multiple CNC Machinists for 2nd shift. These roles are ideal for machinists who are confident operators but can also perform basic programming edits, offsets, and process adjustments. You will work with CNC mills and/or lathes and support production of high-precision components for industrial, aerospace, or defense applications.
What You’ll Do
%CF; Operate CNC machines (mills and/or lathes) on 2nd shift
%CF; Perform setups, tool changes, and part changeovers
%CF; Make basic program edits and offsets to maintain part quality
%CF; Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other metrology tools
%CF; Read and follow blueprints, GD&T requirements, and work instructions
%CF; Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining or dimensional issues
%CF; Maintain production throughput and accuracy
%CF; Keep machines and work area clean, safe, and organized
What You Bring
%CF; CNC machining experience (mills and/or lathes)
%CF; Ability to perform minor programming edits, offsets, and adjustments
%CF; Strong blueprint reading skills, including GD&T
%CF; Understanding of tooling, cutting parameters, and machining best practices
%CF; Ability to work independently on 2nd shift
%CF; Detail-oriented and quality-focused work approach
%CF; Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills
