Under general supervision, the Medical Imaging Tech Aide supports departmental workflow and patient care operations while maintaining productivity and ensuring a safe, compassionate patient experience.The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages in a fast-paced healthcare environment.ResponsibilitiesAssist with maintaining patient and departmental flow within the imaging departmentProvide compassionate, appropriate, and accurate patient care supportCommunicate effectively and respectfully with patients, families, physicians, technologists, and staffVerify patient identity using two patient identifiersAssess patient mobility limitations and physical capabilitiesPrioritize patient safety and identify contraindications or concerns for technologist reviewSupport patient preparation and transport as neededCollaborate with healthcare professionals and departments to provide patient-focused careScan pertinent documents and technologist notes into PACSAssist in expediting patient throughput and successive imaging servicesDemonstrate competency in all assigned responsibilities following departmental trainingQualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredExperienceExperience in an acute care hospital or medical office setting preferredKnowledge & SkillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work effectively with patients of all ages and varying medical conditionsExcellent organizational and multitasking abilitiesCommitment to patient safety and quality careAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented healthcare environmentBasic computer and documentation skills preferredWhy Join Rome Health?Flexible per diem schedulingSupportive and collaborative healthcare environmentOpportunity to gain experience in a hospital imaging departmentWork alongside experienced imaging professionals and clinical teamsMake a meaningful impact in the Central New York communityJoin Rome Health and help provide exceptional care and support to our patients every day.
