Givens Estates is hiring a full-time Sous Chef to join our growing Dining Services team! This position serves as a key leader responsible for supporting daily kitchen operations, food production, quality assurance, sanitation, and team development across Givens Estates dining venues. This position will assist the Campus Executive Chef in ensuring residents, guests, and team members receive exceptional meals, prepared safely, consistently, and in accordance with established recipes, production standards, and hospitality expectations.
What you'll do:
- Support and assists the Campus Executive Chef in leading daily culinary operations across multiple dining venues
- Oversee kitchen operations during assigned shifts to ensure food quality, consistency, efficiency, and service excellence
- Participate in menu planning, recipe development, production forecasting, and quality assurance
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and development of culinary team members
- Support resident dining experiences, special events, holiday meals, and catering functions
- Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor
What you'll need:
- High School or GED equivalent is preferred
- Classes and/or graduate of Culinary Arts Program preferred
- 3+ year’s culinary experience in a hospitality or dining service establishment, preferably in a senior living, health care or resort setting
- Certified in ServSafe Manager or ability to obtain
Compensation is $26.00 - $28.00 per hour, based on background and experience and includes our comprehensive benefits package
