Industrial Controls Electrician (PLCs, Drives & 3‑Phase)

Role Overview — Franklin Park, IL

Provide electrical maintenance across a high-volume manufacturing plant, covering thermo-formers, trim presses, extruders, crystallizers, dryers, and facility electrical systems. Your work safeguards product quality, safety, and legal compliance.

Compensation & Schedule

• Starting pay range: $33.04–$36.04 an hour (Based on Experience)
• Shift: 7am–7pm on a 2‑2‑3 rotation

Core Responsibilities

• Adhere to all Standard Work and Safety Policies: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Critical Safety Rules, plant/department safety rules, PPE, MSDS policies and procedures, fire protection system alarms, and correct equipment startup/shutdown.
• Execute and close out work orders per established procedures.
• Perform comprehensive diagnostics and troubleshoot equipment failures.
• Service and repair: AC/DC motor controls; single‑ and 3‑phase electrical circuits; electronic drives; PLC controls.
• Install electrical conduit and perform machine wiring, including motors up to 600 hp and larger motor installations.
• Fabricate/mount brackets, electrical boxes, and disconnects.
• Inspect, test, clean AC/DC motors; replace brushes as needed.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on thermo-formers, trim presses, extrusion equipment, and support equipment.
• Train coworkers on electrical topics and provide training sign‑offs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Required: 3 years of electrical experience; ability to troubleshoot/repair electrical circuits and read electrical schematics/blueprints; ability to operate a Lift/Scissor Truck; strong communication skills.
• Preferred: Knowledge of electrical components for thermo-formers, extruders, crystallizers, and dryers.
