Job Description
About the Role

Step into a first-shift environment where precision sets the pace. Your day starts between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on an 8-hour schedule, and from the first toolpath you create to the last on-machine tweak you make, you’ll be shaping gas turbine components with world-class accuracy.

A Day in the Life

You’ll open Siemens NX and begin crafting NC programs that bring complex geometries to life—primarily on 2-axis lathes and mill-turn platforms, with additional work on other CNC lathes and mills as needed. Before a single chip is cut, you’ll validate programs through virtual machine simulation. Then, you’ll head to the floor to run on-machine prove-outs, refining feeds, speeds, and strategies for peak cycle-time and surface finish.

Between setups, you’ll partner with design engineers to improve part features for manufacturability, and you’ll lend your expertise during equipment installation, runoff, and production ramp-up. When specialized finishes are required, your CNC grinding know-how becomes a difference maker.

What You’ll Tackle
  • Develop and optimize NC programs in Siemens NX for mill-turn systems, 2-axis lathes, and additional CNC lathes/mills
  • Use machine simulation to virtually verify toolpaths and avoid clashes
  • Execute on-machine validation and continuous optimization
  • Collaborate with design engineering to enhance manufacturability
  • Support equipment installation, runoff, and production startup
  • Handle other related duties that keep production moving
What Sets You Apart
  • 3–5 years focused on lathe programming (mill experience helpful, but lathe depth is essential)
  • CNC grinding experience preferred
  • Background working with aerospace alloys and hardened steel alloys is a plus
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years in an engineering/manufacturing setting developing NC programs
  • Experience writing process-focused work instructions
  • Solid knowledge of workholding strategy, cutting tool selection, and gaging
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office proficiency

U.S. Citizenship is required
