About the Opportunity
A growing industrial recycling operation is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the reliability, safety, and performance of plant equipment and facility systems. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, supporting production goals, and maintaining a safe working environment.
The Maintenance Technician will work closely with the maintenance and operations teams to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, complete repairs, and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
What You'll Do
%CF; Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
%CF; Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues to support uninterrupted production
%CF; Conduct routine inspections of equipment, systems, and facility infrastructure
%CF; Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs in a timely manner
%CF; Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
%CF; Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrades of production equipment
%CF; Work closely with operations personnel to identify and resolve maintenance concerns
%CF; Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary
%CF; Support continuous improvement efforts focused on equipment reliability and efficiency
%CF; Ensure machine guarding and safety systems remain compliant and functional
%CF; Follow all company safety procedures, environmental regulations, and operational policies
%CF; Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned
What You Bring
%CF; High school diploma or technical certification in maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or related field preferred
%CF; 1-3 years of maintenance experience within manufacturing, industrial, recycling, or similar environments
%CF; Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
%CF; Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
%CF; Understanding of preventative maintenance programs and repair procedures
%CF; Ability to read and follow technical documentation and maintenance instructions
%CF; Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
%CF; Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed
%CF; Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications
%CF; Reliable attendance and willingness to support off-shift, weekend, or holiday work as needed
