WELDER HELPER / FABRICATION ASSISTANT
Monday - Thursday, mandatory overtime as needed
7:00 am - 5:30 pm
$17.00 - $19.00 or hour, DOE
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assist welders with setup, fit-up, and fabrication of metal components.
- Gather, organize, and transport tools, materials, and equipment throughout the shop.
- Clean, grind, and prepare metal surfaces before and after welding.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, and other shop equipment.
- Hold, clamp, and position materials during welding and fabrication.
- Load and unload materials using proper lifting techniques or equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Inspect tools and equipment before use and report any issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environment is a plus.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Basic knowledge of welding processes is preferred but not required.
- Must wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
