Physical Therapist
Job Description
On the Mend Physical Therapy has been helping the Mesa community move and live better for years, now with two locations under local ownership. You'll join a team that treats the full person, from sports and orthopedic rehab to pediatric therapy, geriatric care, and work conditioning, so your caseload stays varied and your skills keep growing. Being backed by the HRS group means real support behind the scenes: unlimited CE funding, strong benefits, and student loan repayment, without losing the locally owned, community-first feel that earned this clinic Best of Mesa in 2021. If you want to practice hands-on, patient-centered care on a team that treats you like family, this is it.
Compensation PackageThis role pays $76,000–$92,900 a year, and our powerful bonus program is a big part of why. In addition, we provide:
$8,000 sign-on bonus
Unlimited continuing education funds, plus a $500 travel stipend
$12,000 fellowship reimbursement
17 days of PTO in year one, increasing with tenure
$10,000 in tax-free student loan repayment over 5 years, paid monthly
Relocation assistance available
On top of that, you get the standard package, done right:
Medical insurance, with the clinic covering roughly 75% of your premium
HSA option with employer contributions
401(k) with an employer match that vests immediately
Dental and vision insurance
-
Short-term disability and life insurance options
At On the Mend Physical Therapy you’ll get more than just a job. You’ll get a career path, mentorship, and the chance to work in one of the country’s most beautiful regions. Some highlights:
Clinical autonomy where you make the calls on patient care
A new grad mentoring program that builds up your caseload as you’re ready for it
Unlimited continuing education and specialty certifications, no budget cap, no approval process
A real path to Clinic Director or another clinical leadership role
Reasonable caseloads and flexible scheduling
Evidence-based care, backed by the technology and time to deliver it
We have a residency-trained, Board-Certified OCS on staff who's genuinely invested in developing new clinicians. Interested in pursuing your own orthopedic residency down the road? Our OCS can serve as your host-site mentor/Clinical Instructor, guiding you every step of the way.
Life in East Valley, AZMesa sits at the base of the Superstition Mountains in the Sonoran Desert, with year-round sunshine that makes hiking, golfing, and outdoor life a daily habit rather than a weekend plan. It's a real city with a growing arts and culture scene, anchored by the Mesa Arts Center, alongside easy access to the greater Phoenix metro's dining, sports, and entertainment. Nearby desert parks and trails, along with lakes and the Salt River, offer an escape without leaving town. It's a place built for people who want city amenities and outdoor access without giving up either one.
What You’ll Be DoingMost of your day is spent directly with patients, planning and delivering hands-on care with the autonomy to treat the way you think is right. That includes:
Evaluating patients and building individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
Hands-on interventions through manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and specialty modalities
Teaching patients and their families about recovery, home exercise, and injury prevention
Tracking progress and adjusting plans as patients progress
Collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care
Documenting in line with HIPAA and state and federal rules, using AI tools that cut down on paperwork instead of adding to it
We’re looking for a PT who genuinely wants to help people move better and wants to keep growing themselves. Ideal candidates have:
A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
An Arizona physical therapy license, or eligibility for one
All experience levels are encouraged to apply
Strong communication skills, the kind that put patients at ease
Interest in growing into a leadership role down the line
Current CPR certification
You’ll need to:
Lift up to 50 pounds
Stand, bend, reach, and use fine motor skills regularly
-
Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and therapeutic exercises
