Commercial Assistant Account Manager

Marker Insurance
Hollywood, FL, US Full Time
35000USD - 40000USD per year

Job Description

Job Description

Welcome to Marker Insurance, where we believe the backbone of our success is the genuine, supportive relationships we build with our clients in the heart of Hollywood, Florida. We aren't just an insurance firm; we are a group of dedicated professionals who take pride in making the complex world of commercial insurance accessible and easy to understand for the businesses that keep our local economy thriving.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Commercial Assistant Account Manager to support our commercial lines team. This is a service and documentation role, not a sales role. You will work alongside our Account Managers and producers handling the certificates, endorsements, renewal submissions, and follow-up that keep client accounts accurate and on schedule. It is precise, deadline-driven work, and it is the foundation everything else in the agency rests on.

The person who thrives here gets real satisfaction from a clean file, a renewal that closes without a fire drill, and a client who never has to ask twice. If your strength is winning people over rather than getting details exactly right, this seat will frustrate you. But if you are the organized one who catches what others miss, we will teach you commercial insurance from the ground up, pay for your licensing, and give you a clear path to Account Manager.

Come help us continue to provide peace of mind to the business community we serve.

Responsibilities

Prepare and issue certificates of insurance and evidence of property, including additional insured and waiver of subrogation requests.

Process endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements through carrier portals and our agency management system.

Assemble renewal submissions, including applications, loss runs, exposure updates, and schedules of values, for Account Manager review.

Maintain the renewal diary and complete 90, 60, and 30 day follow-ups so no deadline is missed.

Order and track inspections, premium audits, and outstanding carrier subjectivities through to completion.

Review incoming policy documents against what was ordered and flag any discrepancies to the Account Manager.

Handle routine client and carrier service calls and document every interaction in the client file.

Keep client records accurate, complete, and audit-ready.

Support Account Managers and producers with day-to-day account maintenance and administrative follow-through.

Requirements

Florida 2-20 General Lines or 4-40 Customer Representative license, or willingness to obtain the 4-40 within 90 days. We pay for the course and exam.

Commercial insurance experience preferred, but not required. We will train the right person.

Demonstrated accuracy with detailed paperwork. You re-read your work before you send it.

Comfort with repetitive, process-driven tasks and the discipline to follow a system when the day gets busy.

Strong organizational habits and the ability to manage competing deadlines.

Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Clear, professional written and verbal communication.

Familiarity with agency management systems such as HawkSoft and with carrier portals is a plus.
