As a Structural Steel MIG Fabrication Technician, you will join, fabricate, and repair steel parts using gas metal arc welding (GMAW) techniques and equipment while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Pay & Shifts
  • Hourly Rate: $18.00 – $21.00 (Paid Weekly)
  • 1st Shift: Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Mon–Fri, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (+$1.00 shift differential)
  • 3rd Shift: Mon–Fri, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM (+$1.50 shift differential)
Core Responsibilities
  • Execute MIG/GMAW welding to join, fabricate, and repair steel components
  • Read and interpret simple blueprints to determine weld requirements
  • Set up and operate one or more processing machines as assigned
  • Use measuring tools (tape measures, box/slide dial calipers, micrometers) to verify dimensions
  • Perform conversions between fractions/decimals and metric/English units
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes; maintain required equipment certifications
  • Apply sound judgment and attention to detail to deliver high-quality work
  • Utilize hand tools including hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, drill, grinder, and bander
  • Uphold the team’s focus areas: Safety Commitment; Welding Requirements; Quality and Accuracy; General Duties
  • Communicate effectively in conversational English (spoken and written)
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant experience, apprenticeship, or vocational training preferred
  • Ability to pass and maintain MIG Welder certification
Physical Demands
  • Standing and walking for prolonged periods; 2–5 miles per shift
  • Frequent bending, sitting, standing, twisting, stooping
  • Lift/carry 25–50 lbs from floor to waist and front-carry 25–50 lbs repeatedly per shift
  • Overhead reach; squat, kneel; climb short ladders or steps
  • Fine motor coordination for precise handling and manipulation
  • Read labels; follow safety/SOPs; communicate effectively in an industrial environment
  • 20/30 vision with corrective lenses
