CNC Mill Setup and Process Technician, Rod-Form Components

Join a team focused on precision, continuous improvement, and safe operations. In this temp-to-perm, second-shift role, you will turn prints into production-ready CNC mill setups that consistently hold tolerance and hit schedule.

Core impact

• Translate blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T into efficient CNC mill setups for rod-formed parts.
• Run, monitor, and adjust programs to keep dimensions in spec and cycle times optimized.
• Conduct in-process inspections with micrometers, calipers, and gauges; document results.
• Perform routine maintenance and resolve machine issues to reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to refine tooling, offsets, and methods.
• Maintain accurate setup sheets, machine parameters, and quality records.
• Uphold safety practices and support training of fellow operators.

Qualifications to succeed

• 2+ years operating CNC milling machines; rod-forming or precision machining background preferred.
• Proficient in reading drawings and applying GD&T.
• Mechanical problem-solver with attention to detail.
• Comfortable using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Knowledge of CNC programming and G-code is a plus.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced shop.

Workstyle and logistics

• Factory setting; frequent interaction with production and warehouse teams.
• Physical demands include regular walking, twisting, standing, bending, squatting, and lifting 50 lbs. or higher.
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday; flexibility for extended hours. Second shift, temp-to-perm path.
• Travel: Occasional supplier visits, conferences, and inter-facility coordination.
