A Quality Engineer is responsible for coordinating plant quality efforts from concept to customer.Duties and Requirements of the Job:Customer liaisonCommunication with quality non conformances Customer score cardsCustomer portal managementMaintain IATF StandardKnowledge of Standard and requirementsParticipate and prepare for annual IATF auditCreate and Implement Pre-launch process controls (PFMEA and Control Plans)Create and Implement Production process controls (PFMEA and Control Plans)Developing RPN reduction plans for PFMEAEnsure in-process inspections correlate with control plan requirementsBe present at customer launch sites for all Pre-launch BuildsKnowledge and experience in Measuring System Analysis Gauge R&RMeasuring systems capabilitiesDeveloping gauge instructionsSupplier improvementReview Supplier Control Plans and PFMEAs to establish ways to improve.Process capability index (Ppk) assessmentKnowledge of statistical software: MinitabDevelop improvement plans for critical characteristicsKnowledge of SPC 1 software Rectify and resolve manufacturing issues internally as well as externally through working with customer, outside sources and internal team members as needed to identify and implement corrective actions and coordinate and oversee activities to ensure the product and customer satisfaction. Track and trend Quality Metrics and develop and participate in core teams to drive change and reduce scrapPerform control plan process walks to confirm control plan matches processPrepare receiving inspection instructionsPrepare Lab inspection instructions to meet customer specificationsPrepare Final inspection instructionsQuality Operating System (QOS) Improvement PlanSubmit customer Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) paperworkOther duties as specified on organizational chart (P.4.0C)Other duties as assigned.Skills Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:Diverse duties involving Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP), Quality Operating System (QOS). Working knowledge of IATF and/or European Value Delivery Analysis (VDA). Ability to effectively communicate customer requirements into production process.3-5 years in Quality AssuranceEducation Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:Must have working knowledge of blueprint reading, Metrology, statistical process control (SPC), 8-D problem solving and Quality Operating System (QOS).Must have Bachelors degree in Science discipline.Licensing or Other Special Certifications Required:NonePhysical Requirements:Ability to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time.Ability to travel (domestic and/or international) including air travel and long automobile trips.Working Conditions:Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds and frequently carries up to 30 pounds.Maneuvers in, around, under, and about factory and/or laboratory equipment on a regular and continuous basis.Some of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting, and bending.Works within an automotive components manufacturing, office, and laboratory setting and is exposed to heat, cold, wet, and fumes/chemicals.Hearing protection required in designated areas.Eye protection required.Steel or Composite toed shoes may be required occasionally.EEO Statement:TI Automotive is committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, pregnancy status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status.
