Pioneer Care and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medication Aide II (CMA) to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective medication administration for our patients/residents.
Responsibilities:
Administer medications accurately following the five rights of medication administration (right patient, right medication, right dose, right route, right time).
Monitor patients/residents for any adverse reactions to medications and report them promptly to the nurse.
Take vital signs and document them according to facility protocol.
Assist patients/residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed (may vary by facility).
Maintain accurate and complete medication administration records (MAR).
Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Ensure a clean and safe work environment by following infection control protocols.
Respond to patient call bells and requests in a timely and courteous manner
Qualifications:
Must be a Certified Medication Aide II (CMA) in good standing.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).
Strong understanding of medication administration principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate and patient with a positive attitude.
Meticulous attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physically able to perform the essential duties of the job, which may include standing for long periods, lifting, and assisting patients/residents.
