Precision Manual Lathe and Mill Machinist

A day in this role

Morning starts with a blueprint in your hand and a plan in your head. You’ll choose the right tooling, set offsets, and bring raw stock to life on manual lathes, mills, and grinders. Throughout the day, you’ll verify tolerances with precise measurements, log your work clearly, and keep machines running smoothly with routine care. When a challenge appears, you’ll partner with teammates to troubleshoot, adjust, and deliver parts that meet exacting standards—safely and on schedule.

Location & schedule

• Based in Jacksonville, FL
• We are currently hiring for 1st and 2nd shifts

What you’ll handle

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and related equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Measure and inspect parts to confirm quality requirements
• Perform routine maintenance to keep machines in peak condition
• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot machining issues
• Maintain an orderly, safe, and compliant work area
• Document processes and keep accurate production records

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; machining certificate/technical training preferred
• Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role
• Hands-on proficiency with conventional machining tools and setups
• Solid understanding of machining fundamentals and best practices
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Clear communicator and effective team collaborator
• Familiarity with shop safety standards and procedures
