Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team for early morning specimen collection. This contract/part-time role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols while collecting and transporting blood specimens from patients at various locations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Patient Verification: Ensure accuracy by verifying test requisitions against nursing station logs and addressing discrepancies with facility personnel.

  • Safe Transportation: Maintain personal safety and proper specimen handling during transport; track mileage as per management guidelines.

  • Specimen Collection: Perform venipunctures while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

  • Specimen Integrity: Follow aseptic techniques, department protocols, and isolation procedures to maintain specimen quality.

  • Tracking & Documentation: Accurately document collection details, including initials, date, and time of collection.

  • Compliance & Safety: Adhere to legal and industry standards to maintain a secure and healthy work environment.

  • Data Entry: Utilize laboratory information systems to input sample acquisition details.

  • Professionalism: Uphold company reputation by maintaining a high standard of service and professional conduct.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficiency in infection control and aseptic techniques.

  • Excellent bedside manner and patient interaction skills.

  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures and specimen handling.

  • Strong procedural and phlebotomy skills.

  • Ability to work independently with strong time management.

  • Proficiency with computer systems for data entry.

  • Safe and responsible driving habits.
