Maintenance Technician

As a maintenance technician, the following skills and knowledge are favored:Mechanical Knowledge:Conveyors, drives, gearboxes/motors, rollers/bearings, taper locks, and drive chains/belts are all relevant systems to our daily operations.Basic Electrical Knowledge:Contactors, relays, overloads, electrical control circuits, and line voltage are relevant daily. PLC and any other knowledge are Pluses.Basic Pneumatic Knowledge:Solenoid valves, air cylinders, check/flow controls, and quick exhausts are desirable.Basic/limited Plumbing Knowledge:PVC bonding/piping, pumps, float switches, solenoid valves, and steam are desired but are not always necessary.Requirements:Must be at least 18 years of age.Must be willing to learn new skills and trades pertaining to maintenance.Must own and bring your own hand tools.i.e., Pump pliers, screwdrivers, SAE and Metric wrenches, SAE and Metric hex-keys, wire strippers, linesman pliers, diagonal cuttersDependableMust have a current driver's license.Must have a reliable mode of transportation.Schedule:Initial scheduled positions may vary for new hires as positions are being filled.Hours may vary slightly, with plenty of overtime opportunities.Occasional off days may be required for certain PMs or machinery installs.Experience:Maintenance or trade experience is preferred but not necessarily required.Job-Type: Full-TimeStarting pay can vary (more or less) due to knowledge and experience.Locations:2910 Main Ave NW, Hickory, NC 28601 (Plant 1)161 30th Street Pl NW, Hickory, NC 28601 (Plant 2)Both locations are within half a mile from each other in the Longview Community.Please contact Darrin Patch (ext. 205) or William Ball (ext. 307) for additional information at (828) 322-1301Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $18.00 - $30.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental InsuranceHealth insuranceLife insuranceVision insuranceSchedule:10-hour shift8-hour shiftDay shiftNight shiftOvertimeWork Location: Multiple locations
