Job Description: Concrete Finisher ABCI, Inc. is a local mid-sized civil construction company seeking experienced Concrete Finishers assigned to the Lubbock Office.Overview: The Concrete Finisher is responsible for performing manual labor on all phases of concrete work including forming, pouring, and finishing using various types of tools.Job duties of a concrete finisher:Concrete finishers are responsible for a wide range of duties that may change depending on the type of project they are working on and the team members they are working with. Here are some of the key job duties of a concrete finisher: Placing forms that hold concrete to ensure the required depth and pitch is achievedRemoving edges on expansion joints and sidesWork with hand tools and power toolsInstalling anchor bolts, steel plates and other fixtures in freshly poured concretePolishing surfaces using smoothing materials, abrasive tools and surfacing machinesAligning forms for sidewalks, curbs, and guttersWaterproofing, damp-proofing, and restoring concrete surfacesCompacting materials using power vibrators to create leveled basesFinishing concrete surfaces with rough or smooth patterns depending on the customer's preferenceSignaling truck drivers and moving chutes to facilitate pouring concrete onto formsCasting and spreading concrete to patch voidsApplying hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concreteWages: Top Pay!
