About This Case

Home To Stay is seeking a dependable and compassionate CHHA to support a VA client in Tabernacle, NJ. The caregiver will assist with personal care, mobility, transfers, daily routines, and maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment.

This is a VA case, meaning all services are provided in the veteran's home and the veteran must be present in the home while the CHHA is providing services. There is no transportation, shopping, or errand-running required for this case.

A dog is present in the home, so the caregiver must be comfortable working around dogs.

What this Client Needs

• Assistance with ambulation and mobility

• Assistance with transfers

• Fall-risk and safety awareness

• Assistance with dressing and showering

• Toileting assistance

• Assistance with prescribed exercises/routines

• Light household support related to the client

• Comfortable working in a home with a dog

• Ability to follow VA case requirements and care plan

Responsibilities

• Provide transfer assistance as outlined in the care plan

• Assist with exercises according to the care plan

• Prepare meals for the client

• Keep the client's areas tidy

• Clean up messes made during the shift

• Assist with laundry as needed

• Provide attentive, respectful care in the veteran's home

• Document care provided according to the care plan

• Dependable, compassionate, and professional

VA Requirements

• Services are provided only in the veteran's home

• Veteran must be present in the home while the CHHA is providing services

• No transportation

• No shopping

• No errands

• Care must remain within the scope of the approved care plan

• Active New Jersey CHHA certification

• Reliable transportation to and from the client's home

• Comfortable working around dogs

• Able to follow the client's care plan and VA case requirements

• Strong communication and observation skills
