Mechanical Sampling Equipment Technician (Entry-Level)
Job Description
At our Curtis Bay bulk terminal, you’ll help keep mechanical coal sampling systems operating smoothly. You’ll start your day alongside the Senior Mechanic, walking the line, powering up equipment, and confirming everything is ready for throughput. As the shift progresses, you’ll operate the mechanical sampling equipment, carry out preventive maintenance on critical components, and document your work so the team and our clients stay informed.
Core responsibilities- Operate mechanical sampling equipment at a bulk terminal in Curtis Bay.
- Work under the guidance of the Senior Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance on machine equipment.
- Initiate and complete Maintenance Action Sheets (MAS) and keep related documentation current.
- Maintain PM and MAS log records with accuracy and clarity.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and communicate any concerns to clients.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues as they arise.
This is a day shift role based in Curtis Bay. The standard schedule is Wednesday through Sunday. Some weekends may require overnight work as needed.
