Job Description
Imagine Your Week

Four days on, three days off. You’ll work Monday–Thursday on 2nd shift, running ten-hour shifts that give you a long weekend every week. You arrive to a clean, organized cell, review setup documentation and Job Instruction Manuals (JIM Books), and get your milling centers warmed up. From there, it’s all about producing repeatable, high-quality parts—safely and efficiently.

What a Shift Looks Like
  • Run established CNC vertical machining centers following setup sheets and work instructions.
  • Load and unload parts, verify offsets/tool touch-offs as directed, and keep production moving at the expected rate.
  • Keep an eye on machine behavior, escalate tooling or equipment issues to supervision promptly, and help maintain uptime.
  • Check part quality in-process using calipers and micrometers; read basic blueprints to confirm critical features.
  • Record accurate production data in JobBOSS, complete job travelers, and finish all required quality documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with Set-Up Technicians, Quality, and Production Supervisors; pitch in wherever needed across the department.
  • Follow safe machining practices, know emergency stop procedures, and keep your station spotless and audit-ready.
Quality First
  • Interpret basic prints and work instructions to understand features and specs.
  • Verify parts meet customer requirements before continuing production.
  • Identify, segregate, and report scrap or suspect material immediately.
