About the Role:
As an LVN Charge Nurse with Las Colinas of Westover Hills, you will serve as a leader on our care team, providing exceptional care and support to our guests. Your responsibilities will include:
Arriving on time for shifts and completing tasks assigned by the previous shift charge nurse
Reviewing 24-hour reports to ensure continuity of care
Performing narcotic counts and verifying all narcotic count sheets
Conducting room rounds with off-going nurses and CNA's
Reviewing lab follow-ups, diagnostic follow-ups, and pending orders
Administering medications, G-tubes, Coumadin, PRN medications, Nebulizer treatments, and skin treatments as needed
Completing monthly summaries and skin assessments
Ensuring CNA documentation is completed before the end of shift
Managing MDS charting, Skilled charting, changes in condition, and new orders or treatments for specific residents
Completing incident reports and lab inquiries
