What your day looks like

You start by checking material queues and verifying that each machine has the correct resin, colorant, and additives staged. You blend batches to spec, connect the vacuum system, and confirm that lot traceability is captured before production begins. Throughout the shift, you keep grinders humming, label regrind, and make sure magnets in the hopper throat are clean. When a line changeover hits, you assist with purging machines, replenish raw materials, and document every material movement. Between runs, you unload bulk resin trailers, spot-check blenders, dye feeders, and grinders, and keep the work area spotless to our housekeeping and sanitation standards.

Core responsibilities
  • Gather, weigh, and blend materials per specification.
  • Maintain a steady supply of raw materials (resin, colors, etc.) to assigned machines and connect the vacuum system.
  • Grind material, label and manage regrind, and keep the grinding area organized and clean.
  • Assist with machine purges and clean magnets in the hopper throat.
  • Document all material movements accurately; complete required paperwork and gather lot control data for Quality Control.
  • Monitor inventory levels and alert inventory control when volumes run low.
  • Inspect material handling equipment (blenders, dye feeders, grinders, and related devices).
  • Unload bulk resin trailers safely and efficiently.
  • Uphold housekeeping, sanitation, and departmental safety standards.
  • Perform additional warehousing and related duties as needed.
Food Safety responsibilities
  • Monitor and verify activities so that all products entering and leaving the facility meet food safety and quality standards.
  • Follow company food safety and quality assurance procedures and record data accurately at all times.
  • Restore all product-contact surfaces to a sanitary state after completing any task.
  • Report any product or process failure that could affect the safety of manufactured product to Quality and/or Line/Maintenance Supervision.

Education & experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Forklift experience required.
  • 1–2 years of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of facility inventory movement for both shipping and inventory control.
  • Working knowledge of computer operating systems.
