Reporting LineProduction Cell Leader – Lay-up/Kitting
Why This Role Matters- You’ll prepare precise composite kits that keep production flowing.
- You’ll protect product integrity by managing time/temperature-sensitive materials.
- You’ll ensure 100% lot traceability using Epicor, Excel, and TATS dashboards.
- You’ll provide certified backup for autoclave operations, bolstering team coverage.
- Operate a CNC cutting machine to produce kits to spec.
- Process job travelers, label materials, and complete accurate data entry.
- Perform hand-cutting when needed.
- Plan physical space for incoming deliveries.
- Monitor daily stock of materials and adhesives; coordinate with Purchasing for orders.
- Assist the Cell Leader with cutting-machine scheduling.
- Partner with Engineering to configure new kits on the cutting table.
- Maintain freezer inventory via Epicor; control TATS materials and verify expiration/cure dates.
- Notify the lay-up cell of short lead times; use TATS trackers/dashboards to ensure availability.
- Obtain and maintain autoclave certification for secondary coverage.
- Work safely with a zero-injury mindset.
- Keep the cell neat; complete preventive maintenance and daily cleanup to procedure.
- Finish all paperwork and system entries accurately and on time.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities within and beyond the cell.
- Report problems promptly; follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2–5 years in manufacturing; hands-on experience with measuring/cutting tools and familiarity with inventory control are advantageous.
- Proficiency with computers and job-related software to set up programs, perform data entry, and run reports (Epicor/Excel a plus).
- Mechanical aptitude and reliable basic math skills; able to read a ruler and tape measure.
- Strong, courteous verbal and interpersonal communication.
- Ability to read/follow written and oral technical instructions.
- Organization, planning, time management, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage high-volume workloads and shifting priorities professionally.
- Collaborative team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.

- Third shift; overtime may involve other shifts and weekends.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed and comfortably stoop, kneel, reach, bend, stand, and walk for the duration of the shift.
