Job Title: Houseperson / Light Maintenance TechnicianPosition Summary:The Houseperson / Light Maintenance Technician supports the overall cleaniness, functionality, and presentation of the hotel. This position is responsible for public area upkeep, light maintenance tasks, and assisting with meeting and event space setup to ensure exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate is dependable, hands on, detail oriented, and responsive to operational needs.Key Responsibilities:Maintain cleanliness and organization of public areas including lobby, hallways, restrooms, meeting rooms, and back of house areasAssist housekeeping team with linen delivery, trash removal, and supply restockingClean and maintain floors (Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, carpet care)Remove debris and maintain exterior entryways as neededRespond promptly to guest and management requestsLight Maintenance Duties:Perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs, replacing air filters, tightening fixtures, and basic plumbing repairs (e.g., unclogging drains)Assist with preventative maintenance tasksReport maintenance issues requiring advanced repair to managementEnsure tools and maintenance areas are kept organized and safeFollow all safety procedures and hotel policiesMeeting & Event Setup:Set up and break down meeting rooms according to event specifications (tables, chairs, linens, podiums, audiovisual equipment)Ensure meeting spaces are clean, organized, and ready prior to event start timesAdjust room setups as requested by event coordinatorsAssist with moving and arranging furniture as neededMaintain storage areas for tables, chairs, and equipmentQualifications:Previous hotel, housekeeping, or maintenance experience preferredBasic knowledge of hand tools and general repair tasksAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periodsStrong attention to detail and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexible schedule, including weekends and holidaysPhysical Requirements:Frequent standing, walking, bending, and liftingAbility to mave tables, chairs, and equipment safelyComfortable working indoors and outdoors as neededWork Environment:Fast paced hospitality settingInteraction with guests and team members dailyMay require early morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays
