Direct Hire | Central Valley & Greater Bay Area, CA | $55.00 – $73.68 per hour | Full-Time


THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a well-established, non-union (merit shop) commercial and industrial electrical contractor operating throughout Northern California since 1998. They self-perform work across the Greater Bay Area, Central Valley, and Sacramento region, and are recognized for a strong safety culture, including platinum-level safety accreditation and a long track record of repeat work with major general contractors. This is a direct-hire, full-time position with the client — not a temporary or contract assignment.

They are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead and supervise crews on industrial projects. If you can run work, keep crews productive, hold schedule, and deliver quality installs safely, they want to talk now.


THE WORK

This role runs industrial electrical scope, including:

• Rigid conduit installation — cut and thread, heavy raceway

• Explosion-proof and classified (hazardous location) installations

• Food and beverage processing facilities — dairy, edible oil, and protein processing plants

• Cold storage and industrial refrigeration facilities

• Large distribution and fulfillment center electrical

• Power distribution, equipment connections, motor and control wiring

Projects are concentrated in the Central Valley with additional work across the Greater Bay Area and Sacramento region.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and lead electricians and apprentices on job sites

• Manage electrical scope including installation, repair, and inspection

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings

• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances per drawings or plans

• Prepare and lay out electrical systems, including wiring diagrams, conduit routing, and panel locations

• Plan and run daily work — assign tasks, manage schedule and crew productivity

• Ensure all work meets NEC, local codes, and company standards

• Coordinate with project managers, project engineers, inspectors, and other trades

• Monitor productivity, material usage, and job progress

• Enforce jobsite safety policies and conduct weekly safety meetings

• Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide technical guidance

• Install or assist in installing electrical components

• Maintain accurate daily reports, timecards, and material lists

• Set up and operate hydraulic benders, power threaders, power pullers, and cable vacuum systems

• Train and mentor crew members

• Secure equipment after use and keep work areas clean


QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5+ years of electrical experience; foreman or lead experience preferred

• Journeyman Electrician license preferred (Master a plus)

• Experience on industrial electrical projects — rigid pipe, cut and thread, and classified/explosion-proof work strongly preferred

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, the National Electrical Code, and safety regulations

• Strong leadership and jobsite management skills; able to manage crews and multi-task effectively

• Excellent communication skills

• Proficient in all types of electrical installations and wiring methods

• Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and in varying jobsite conditions

• Experience with scheduling, estimating, and material ordering

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification a plus

• California ET Card a plus

• Valid driver's license and clean DMV record

• Must pass drug and alcohol pre-screening


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Climbing ladders and steep stairs

• Crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and reaching

• Routinely lifting objects in excess of 50 pounds; pushing and pulling of objects required

• Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers

• Wearing all personal protective equipment — hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, safety vest — at all times

• Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job

• Working in all elements depending on job location and time of year — heat, cold, rain

• Able to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, plus overtime as required and night shifts

• Willing to travel within 100 miles of the Brentwood, CA area


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$55.00 – $73.68 per hour, depending on experience. Top of range is reserved for foremen with strong classified and heavy rigid experience.

WORK LOCATION

On the road — jobsite based. Travel within approximately 100 miles of Brentwood, CA.
