Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM
Pay: $19/hr + $1/hr shift differential ($20/hr)
Training: First 6–8 weeks on 1st shift (paid at 2nd shift rate during training)
About the Role
We're hiring Electrical/Mechanical Assemblers to build panel assemblies for electrical compartments. Working from blueprints, schematics, and work instructions, you'll handle both mechanical assembly and wiring. This is a large hiring push with 49 openings, and new hires train on 1st shift for the first 6–8 weeks while earning 2nd shift pay.
What You'll Do
• Cut, strip, and crimp wire and cable from 26AWG up to 4/0 and larger
• Tag wires and cables to match the customer schematic
• Install electrical components on panel assemblies of all sizes
• Operate machinery to press, punch, and form lugs
• Apply proper torque values per engineering standards
• Follow process and quality gate sheets, and help correct any non-conforming items
• Verify gauge calibration and keep your area clean and organized
• Follow all safety policies when operating equipment
Advanced Duties May Include
• Installing wire harnesses and making terminations at the appropriate component
• Building plug assemblies and terminating wires per plug charts
• Creating wire harnesses from process drawings
• Training others
What You'll Need
• High school diploma or equivalent (Skill Level I, 0–2 years); higher skill levels available for candidates with more experience or technical certifications
• Familiarity with a manufacturing environment and industrial equipment
• Comfortable using hand and power tools and measuring devices
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wire running lists preferred
• Forklift and/or crane experience a plus
Physical Requirements
Must lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 75 lbs. Frequent walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, squatting, overhead reaching, and ladder climbing. Works at varied heights and in confined spaces. This is a safety-sensitive position in a non-climate-controlled environment with high noise and dust; all required PPE and safety protocols apply.
