Industrial Maintenance Technician

Salary: $40/hr - $48/hr
Shift: 3rd Shift (10:30pm-7:00am) Approx. 55hrs per week
Start Date: ASAP
Professional Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing production machinery and facility systems. This position performs preventive maintenance, responds to equipment breakdowns and supports machinery installations and improvements while maintaining a safe, organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
•Troubleshoot, repair and maintain production machinery and facility equipment.
•Complete scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations and safety checks.
•Replace or repair motors and other worn mechanical or electrical components.
•Install, relocate and modify new or existing machinery.
•Service equipment including conveyors, flexo folder gluers, presses, banders, bundlers and printing machinery.
•Perform facility repairs involving electrical, plumbing and structural systems.
•Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding and equipment-specific requirements.
•Inspect machinery to ensure appropriate guards and safety devices are in place.
•Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
•Design, fabricate and install repair parts, fixtures and equipment improvements.
•Purchase approved replacement parts while balancing quality and cost.
•Maintain accurate maintenance records and a clean, orderly work area.
•Complete required training and support additional maintenance projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
•Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
•Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to dismantle and rebuild machinery.
•Working knowledge of motors, electrical systems, hydraulics, vacuum systems and plumbing.
•Welding and fabrication experience.
•Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, manuals and technical instructions.
•Strong equipment troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance needs.
•Basic computer, math, written communication and documentation skills.
Education and Certifications:
•High school diploma or GED required.
•Mechanical Journeyman credential or technical/vocational certification preferred.
•Welding certifications are a plus.
