Accounts Payable Administrator
Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Accounts Payable Administrator to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. This role is critical to supporting RELCO and Crete United’s rapid growth and financial strength.
Where: South Easton MA
Hours: M-F 8-5
Pay: $70-85K DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and process invoices in accordance with company policies and approval limits.
- Ensure proper coding of expenses to general ledger accounts, cost centers, and projects.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Process weekly and monthly payment runs (ACH, check, wire transfers).
- Assist in month-end close by preparing accruals and reconciliations related to accounts payable.
- Maintain vendor files, W-9 forms, and ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements (1099s).
- Partner with procurement, project managers, and other departments to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Construction accounting preferred as well.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics a plus).
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for vendor and internal team collaboration.
- Knowledge of certified payroll
