Position Summary

The LPN Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an assigned nursing unit while ensuring the highest quality of resident care. This role provides clinical leadership, supervises nursing staff, coordinates resident care, and promotes compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support nursing staff on the assigned unit.

  • Coordinate and oversee resident care plans.

  • Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

  • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.

  • Promote compliance with facility policies and state and federal regulations.

  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and care coordination.

  • Mentor and educate nursing staff to maintain quality standards.

  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Foster a positive, resident-centered environment for residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

  • Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of New Jersey.

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred.

  • Strong clinical assessment, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
