CNA / Transportation Driver
Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate CNA / Transportation Driver to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for safely transporting residents to and from medical appointments and providing hands-on care as a Certified Nursing Assistant when transportation services are not needed.
This is a great opportunity for a CNA who enjoys variety in their day and wants to play an important role in resident safety, comfort, and overall care.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation Duties
Coordinate and assist with scheduling resident transportation for medical appointments
Safely transport residents to and from appointments using the facility vehicle
Assist residents during transport, including wheelchair and mobility support
Communicate with nursing staff regarding resident needs and appointment details
Maintain vehicle cleanliness, fuel levels, and report maintenance needs
CNA Duties
Provide direct resident care in accordance with care plans
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Support nursing staff with routine care tasks
Monitor and report changes in resident condition
Ensure resident safety, dignity, and comfort at all times
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Valid Class E driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
- BLS/CPR certification (required)
Experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred
Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents as needed
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
