Medication Technician


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medication Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that residents receive their prescribed medication accurately and on time. This role is crucial in supporting the delivery of high-quality care and maintaining patient safety.


- Assist with medications to residents under the guidance and supervision of healthcare professionals.
- Accurately document the administration of assistance with self-administration of medications in resident records.
- Maintain and update medication inventory, ensuring safe storage and disposal of expired medications.
- Monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects to medications and report findings to healthcare providers.
- Assist in educating Residents and their families about medications, including dosages, possible side effects, and interactions.
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
- Comply with all legal, regulatory, and institutional policies and procedures regarding medication administration.


- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Medication Technician is preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or medical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and medications.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.


- This position may require standing for extended periods and handling medications.
- The role may involve shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure round-the-clock patient care.
