Are you a high‑precision CNC expert who enjoys complex setups, tight tolerances, and continuous improvement? At Westinghouse, you’ll help build critical spare parts that keep nuclear plants running safely and efficiently—while growing your craft in a supportive union shop.

Where and When You’ll Work
  • Location: Newington, NH (100% onsite)
  • 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – Midnight
  • 3rd Shift: Midnight – 7AM
  • Pay: $35.00–$40.00/hour, depending on qualifications
What You’ll Do
  • Cut, form, and finish metal components that must pass stringent nuclear quality and regulatory checks.
  • Own machine setup from fixturing and tooling through first‑article verification and production runs.
  • Interpret drawings, sketches, and blueprints—plus written and verbal instructions—in compliance with PP-09-01.
  • Use precision measurement tools to validate dimensions and document in‑process inspections.
  • Collaborate with engineers, CNC programmers, and machinists to improve processes and resolve issues.
  • Make limited G‑code program edits when qualified to maintain quality and throughput.
  • Uphold 5S, housekeeping, safety policies, and criticality procedures to ensure a world‑class environment.
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or recognized equivalent
  • 3–5 years as a machinist in manufacturing
  • Demonstrated CNC machining skill set, including G‑code familiarity
  • 3+ years with tooling, fixtures, setup, and process optimization
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience with precision metrology and inspection methods
  • Working knowledge of lean and 5S
  • Strong safety and quality mindset

Reporting Structure

This role reports to the Machine Shop Supervisor at our Newington site.
