HHA and CNA (weekends)

SYNERGY HomeCare of Miami is seeking experienced, compassionate, and reliable Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide non-medical in-home care services throughout Miami-Dade County.

This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position. We are currently experiencing high demand for English-speaking caregivers to work Nightshifts, Overnights and Weekends; we are looking for professionals who can communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

We offer $18.00–$19.50 per hour, but higher rates may be considered for candidates with exceptional experience and qualifications with flexible schedules available. For weekends, we are looking for qualified caregivers that can workdays and nights/overnights; must be fluent or highly proficient speaking English and Spanish for some cases, if you are bilingual, it's a plus.

Requirements:

• Fluent or highly proficient spoken English

• Availability to work on the Weekends

• Must successfully pass an English proficiency interview

• Minimum 1 year of private duty, home care, assisted living, hospital, rehabilitation, or nursing home experience

• Valid HHA certificate or CNA license

• Up to date certifications and in service training

• Reliable transportation

• Professional and compassionate demeanor

• Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)

Typical Duties:

• Personal care and bathing assistance

• Dressing and grooming

• Mobility and transfer assistance

• Meal preparation

• Light housekeeping

• Medication reminders

• Companionship

• Dementia and Alzheimer's care

• Post-surgical support

• Escort to appointments and errands

Required Documents:
Applicants should be prepared to provide the following:

• HHA Certificate or CNA License

• Current CPR/BLS Certification

• Physical Examination completed within the last 6 months stating "Free of Communicable Diseases"

• Valid Driver's License with Auto Insurance Declaration Page (car insurance)

• Professional References

• Level 2 Background Screening (for more information visit The Agency for Health Care Administration web page)

• HIV/AIDS 4-Hour Training Certificate (HIV 104)

• Alzheimer's/Dementia Training Certificate

• Required In-Service Training Certificates up to date (HIPAA, OSHA, Infection Control, Assisting with Self-Medication, Elder Abuse)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with dementia and Alzheimer's clients

• Experience with transfers and mobility assistance

• Post-operative care experience
  Availability for weekends, overnights and nightshifts.

• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
