Location: Playa Vista, CA

Work Schedule: Hybrid – Onsite Wednesdays

Compensation: $95,000–$105,000 base salary + 10% bonus

Due to continued organizational growth and increasing transaction volume, the Accounting team is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, and technical accounting activities.

What You'll Do

  • Perform general ledger accounting activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Play a key role in the monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Support financial reporting activities and assist with the preparation and analysis of account balances and financial results.
  • Research and apply accounting guidance related to revenue recognition and lease accounting, including exposure to ASC 606 and ASC 842.
  • Analyze financial data, investigate variances, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized supporting documentation for accounting transactions and reconciliations.
  • Assist with audit requests and collaborate with internal and external auditors.
  • Partner with Accounting, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to support accounting operations and process improvements.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency.
  • Participate in special projects and other accounting initiatives as the organization continues to grow.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Experience with general ledger accounting and month-end close.
  • Exposure to or knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition and/or ASC 842 lease accounting.
  • Advanced or strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative, service-oriented approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification.
  • Public accounting and/or audit experience.
  • Experience working with nonprofit or public-benefit organizations.
  • Experience supporting international or globally distributed operations.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion and/or Concur.
