Job Description
Job Description
Benefits:
No two days the same. No cubicle. No hydraulic experience required. If you're mechanically inclined, like solving problems with your head and hands, and want to get in on the ground floor of something you can grow with, keep reading.
About PIRTEK Omaha
We're brand new to Nebraska, and that's the opportunity. This is a locally owned, ground-floor operation opening the metro's first two territories. Join now and you help build it from the first truck up, running 24/7/365 emergency service with a one-hour response promise. When a machine goes down, we show up fast, fix it on-site, and get people back to work.
Who We're Looking For
We'll train you on everything hydraulic. You bring the drive. Our best technicians are natural problem-solvers, mechanically inclined, and take real pride in fixing what's broken and getting a customer back to work.
Let's be honest about it: you'll be out in the field all year, in the heat and the cold, and you'll get dirty. That's the job. If that's your kind of work, you'll love it here.
A background in diesel, automotive, marine, heavy equipment, welding, ag equipment, or industrial maintenance is a plus, but not required.
What You'll Do
- Life insurance
- Bonus based on performance
- Company car
- Dental insurance
- Free uniforms
- Health insurance
- Opportunity for advancement
- Paid time off
- Training & development
- Vision insurance

What You'll Do
- Run service calls across your territory in a purpose-built mobile workshop van
- Diagnose failed hoses and assemblies, then fabricate and install the replacement on-site
- Contain and clean up any oil or contaminants to customer and regulatory standards
- Be the reliable face customers count on. They'll remember who got them running again
- Log service details and invoices accurately
- Maintain your van, tools, and equipment
- Take part in the rotating on-call schedule
- Resolve issues on-site and make frequent follow-up visits to keep customers satisfied
- Follow all PIRTEK and industry safety standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Monthly performance bonus from day one. Clear $20K on your van and earn $500, then a growing share of everything above, up to 5%. It's based on what your van brings in each month, not how long you've been here. New techs can also earn a ramp bonus while building their route.
- Overtime plus a $50 call bonus for after-hours and weekend emergency calls, and that work counts toward your monthly bonus too
- Employer-paid life insurance from day one, and health insurance at 90 days with the company covering 50% of your premium, with the option to buy up
- Paid factory-certified training, travel and lodging covered at no cost to you, plus a 24/7 technical support hotline so you're never stuck alone in the field
- Dental and vision available at group rates
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a clean record (you'll drive a large work van)
- Mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving instincts, and a willingness to learn
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet: kneeling, bending, climbing
- Safely use ladders, step-ups, and stairs
- Willing to work an on-call rotation including some nights and weekends
- Read, write, and communicate in English
- Work well individually and as part of a team
- Ability to pass a background check and drug and alcohol testing
