    Location: Tahlequah Oklahoma

  • Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30PM – 11:00PM

  • Hours: 8 hours/day, 5 days/week

    • Start Date: 05/26/2026

    • End Date: 08/29/2026


Position Summary
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Medical Technologist to support a high-volume clinical laboratory environment within the Cherokee Nation healthcare system. This role requires strong technical expertise in chemistry and blood bank operations, along with a commitment to accuracy, patient safety, and quality diagnostics.

You will play a key role in performing and interpreting laboratory tests that directly support patient care across multiple departments, including pediatrics and transfusion services.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical laboratory experience

  • Active certification required:

    • American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) OR

    • American Medical Technologists (AMT)

  • Current AHA BLS certification (American Heart Association) American Heart Association

  • Strong Blood Bank experience (required)

  • Pediatric laboratory experience (required)

  • Chemistry experience with Ortho Vitros analyzers (required)

  • Familiarity with Cerner Millennium LIS Cerner Millennium


Technical & Clinical Skills
  • Chemistry (Ortho Clinical Diagnostics platforms)

  • Blood Bank / Transfusion Services

  • Pediatric specimen processing

  • Ortho Vitros analyzer experience (mandatory)

  • Phlebotomy skills preferred (not required)

  • Strong analytical and quality control practices

  • Experience in high-throughput hospital lab environments


Preferred Experience
  • Hospital-based laboratory experience

  • Multi-disciplinary clinical lab exposure (Chemistry, Ortho, Blood Bank, Peds)

  • Cerner Millennium LIS workflow familiarity

  • Strong attention to detail and compliance with CLIA/CAP standards
