Industrial Maintenance Technician (Night Shift)

Pay Range: $25–$35/hr DOE

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to perform hands-on machinery maintenance, equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and facilities upkeep in a manufacturing plant located in Shreveport, LA. The successful candidate will work within a team environment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all machinery and production equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform senior-level mechanical and electrical repairs on production and facility equipment.
  • Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic/electrical schematics.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical and electrical equipment failures.
  • Ensure operation of all machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines, motors, equipment, and tools.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs with plant supervisors.
  • Communicate plant equipment repair and operational status to the maintenance manager.
  • Safely operate tools and equipment needed during the repair and servicing of equipment.

Qualifications:

  • 5–10+ years of machinery maintenance and electrical experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills.
  • Failure analysis and troubleshooting skills for manufacturing and facility equipment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of single- and three-phase electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems, including air compressors.
  • Organizational skills to facilitate parts management, equipment files, and time management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent movement is required, including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing, and other active movements.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
  • Must be able to work in temperature zones that may include hot environments for extended periods and environments where dust is present.
