Polymer Sheet Extrusion Technician
Job Description
Base pay starts at $21/hour, with higher rates for experienced operators.
At D&W Fine Pack, your work turns materials into products people rely on every day. You’ll join a purpose-driven team that values growth, belonging, and real impact. We rally around four core values—excellence in safety, sustainability, quality, and service; continuous improvement; responsive service to customers and teammates; and one-team integrity and respect.
A Night on the LineYou arrive before the 7:00 pm–7:30 am shift, review the job specs, and set up the extruder to exact standards. Through the night, you fine-tune controls so the PET sheet stays within process parameters. When something’s off, you reset safely and loop in your supervisor. The payoff? A rotating 12-hour schedule that gives you a 3‑day weekend every other weekend.
What You’ll Do- Interpret job specifications to determine machine settings and material requirements
- Start machines by engaging controls and verify stable operation
- Adjust process settings to keep sheet within defined standards
- Feed material and monitor line speed throughout production
- Stop or reset machines when needed and promptly report malfunctions to a supervisor
PET experience is a plus.
