Work involves the use of specialized technologies such as dry ice blasting and laser cleaning systems in both controlled shop environments and on-site industrial facilities.
Position Overview
The Industrial Restoration Technician is a highly skilled, hands-on role responsible for performing precision cleaning and restoration work on automotive components and industrial equipment.
This position requires strong mechanical experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with advanced tools and equipment. Candidates should be comfortable working in both shop and field environments and following strict safety and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate dry ice blasting systems to remove contaminants from vehicle chassis, components, and industrial machinery
- Use laser cleaning equipment for precision surface restoration and coating removal
- Perform automotive undercoating and protective surface applications
- Prepare, set up, and break down job sites in shop and client locations
- Inspect, maintain, and ensure proper operation of specialized restoration equipment
- Follow all safety, compliance, and operational procedures at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in automotive repair, industrial maintenance, fabrication, or a related mechanical trade
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications precisely
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for job assignments
- Must pass background check and drug/alcohol screening
- English proficiency required
Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday standard schedule
- Occasional weekend or evening work based on project needs
- Overtime paid at time and a half
- Comp time may be provided depending on project schedule
Compensation and Benefits
- $25–$30 per hour starting pay depending on experience
