Building Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Building Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with building systems, equipment repair, and general maintenance tasks. This role requires flexibility, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a structured cGMP environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general facility maintenance, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
- Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other maintenance equipment (experience preferred).
- Assist with outdoor maintenance tasks such as tree trimming, pruning, and tree removal.
- Support snow removal operations, including plowing and snow blowing, as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and effectively.
- Follow safety standards and cGMP procedures to ensure compliance.
- Manage multiple maintenance requests and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintenance records.
- Perform overtime duties as required to support facility operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous facility maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience with electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
- Forklift and scissor lift operation experience a plus.
- Snow plowing and outdoor maintenance experience preferred.
- Physical strength and dexterity to lift and handle equipment as needed.
- Strong problem-solving, reading, and math skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and flexibility (overtime may be required).
- Ability to work effectively in a structured cGMP environment.
- Physical Demands
- Indoor and outdoor work required in varying weather conditions.Standing: Prolonged periods of standing on production floor (up to 8–10 hours per shift). Walking: Frequent walking around production and packaging areas. Lifting: Occasionally lift and move products or materials up to 25–50 lbs. Bending/Stooping: Regular bending to inspect lower-level machinery or products. Reaching: Frequent reaching over and around equipment or conveyors. Climbing: Occasionally climb steps or ladders to access equipment or inspection points. Repetitive Motions: Repetitive hand and arm movements when conducting tests or entering data.
