Job Title: Electrical/Instrument Technician II
Reports to: Plant Manager
Location: Bloomfield, NM
Temp to Hire
M-F 6:30am-3pm (24 hour on call rotation one week a month)

Job Objective:
Support projects, installation, and maintenance of facility instrumentation and electrical components to ensure a safe, comfortable operating environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify current and future instrumentation/control requirements by collaborating with management, engineering, production personnel, and technicians.
  • Supervise contractors for complex assignments.
  • Train employees on maintenance, construction, and repair of instruments/analyzers and electrical equipment.
  • Prioritize and schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of control equipment.
  • Review new product plans and coordinate activities with other facility crafts.
  • Maintain electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instrumentation.
  • Support Operations and Maintenance departments.
  • Troubleshoot analyzers and perform calibrations of pressure, level, flow, and temperature transmitters and switches.
  • Conduct DCS/PLC maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Use trends to diagnose operational issues.
  • Respond to power outages.
  • Run conduit and tubing as needed.
  • Adhere to company values and support its vision and mission.
  • Maintain low and medium voltage equipment.
  • Be available 24/7 for emergencies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect company assets.
  • Contribute to team efforts and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant electrical/instrumentation maintenance.
  • Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with differing priorities
Education Requirements:

  • Degree in Instrumentation, Process Control, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
