BNE Real Estate Group is hiring a full-time Maintenance Associate to keep our Union and Garwood, NJ properties clean, safe, and presentable. This role supports the daily property appearance and helps the maintenance team complete assigned tasks once cleaning is completed. This is an opportunity for growth and learning! Key responsibilities include maintaining common areas and building exteriors, removing trash and litter, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and shared spaces, restocking supplies, reporting damage or safety concerns, and assisting with make-readys, preventative maintenance tasks and seasonal tasks as assigned. The pay rate offer is $23/hr and the required work schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-4pm; on-call rotation required. If you're ready to take on this exciting opportunity, we want to hear from you! Job Responsibilities:Minimum Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentRelative experience in property management and or other Porter/Cleaning experienceAbility to work with minimal supervisionWell organized with excellent time management skillsMaintain regular and punctual attendanceWork overtime hours as required to complete assignments/projectsWork in cold/hot/dusty/loud environmentComply with all company policies and proceduresProfessional ImageMaintenanceMaintain the upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other common areasPolice front, back and side of building, including all entranceways; remove pet waste and litter around trees and plantersRemove litter from courtyards and breezeways Remove trash from office areas, common areas and apartment community exterior dailyWash, clean and sanitize all wash basins, sinks, waste receptacles, restrooms, tiled walls and trash chutesThoroughly clean, wash and dust glass, mirrors, shelving, fixtures, elevators, floors, rugs, carpeting, baseboards, saddles, and stairwellsFill all paper and soap dispensersPolish elevator tracks, all mirrors, dispensers and fixturesShampoo carpetsAssist in the preparation of make ready units, including removing trash, cleaning and paintingRemove and replace all blown light bulbsClean available apartments and or modelsAssist in painting available apartments and common areasAssist maintenance team with snow removal and landscapingClear local waste lines and drain stoppagesClean filters for HVACCheck and report leaks, damage, debris and security issues Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, amenity spaces, and/or common areas to the Maintenance Manager/Property ManagerAssist management with other projects, as requested and requiredMaintain excellent customer service with the residents and building staffIf required, participate in the emergency on-call programSafetyLearn and ensure compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules.Ensure that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.Follow a "safety first" principle.Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
