When you join Visioneering, you're not just starting a new job- you're becoming part of a team that designs and builds precision tooling and manufacturing solutions that support some of the world's leading aerospace programs.Position: Weld FitterSchedule: Day Shift (Monday- Friday 6a-4:45p + Saturday 6a-12p) Summary of PositionUnder the supervision of the department supervisor, Weld Fitters are responsible for laying out, fitting, and assembling metal components in preparation for welding, ensuring all parts meet blueprint specifications, tolerances, and quality standards. This role interprets engineering drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication requirements to position, align, and secure parts using clamps, fixtures, and tack welds. The Weld Fitter works closely with welders and fabricators to ensure accurate fit‑up, performs quality checks, and maintains a safe, organized work environment. Strong blueprint reading, measurement accuracy, and metal‑fabrication skills are essential.Essential FunctionsDaily roles include collaborating in a team-oriented environment with cross functional workers. Analyze and interpret blueprints to determine the specifications, tolerances, and locate/read the stock list on a drawing Prep, layout, fit, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specificationsTack-weld or weld components and assembliesWeld components in flat, vertical, or horizontal positionsFabricate and assemble metal components using various welding techniquesPerform precision fitting and adjustments to ensure proper assemblyMaintain the proper tooling to complete tasksConstruct structural components from raw materialsAbility to saw, miter, and fit fabricationsReplace damaged or defective structural components as neededCertified in TIG and MIG weldingFollow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance Other duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills and CompetenciesAbility to use hand and power toolsUse of straightedge, combination square, and calipers.Use of shears, power saws, cutting torches, and chipper knives to cut structural components Ability to concentrate for extended periodsAbility to read a tape measureStrong analytical skillsProblem solving skillsExcellent communication, time management, and organizational skills Proven experience working as a weld fitterMinimum of 2 years' experienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent Apply today and build your future with Visioneering.
