Anticipated start date : ASAPSalary Range : $20.00 to $22.00 per hourAnticipated schedule : 8 hour daysDaily Range of Responsibilities of the CNA :Bathing and dressing patientsTaking vital signsCollecting information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses and doctorsAnswering patient callsExamining patients for bruises and other injuries / woundsTurning or repositioning patients who are bedriddenLifting patients into beds, wheelchairs or exam tablesCleaning and sanitizing patient areasProvide and empty bedpansChanging sheets and restocking rooms with necessary suppliesQualifications for the CNA :High School Diploma or GEDCompleted CNA Certificate ProgramCertified / Licensed to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant with active certification / license in the state of WI.One or more year(s) of current experience as a CNA.QSS is seeking qualified Medical Assistants to work with us as we serve our clients including major medical clinics, hospitals, and large practices. Our compensation includes:Hourly rate of $20.00 - $22.00 per hourHealth insurance allowance401K availablePaid time-offCompany uniforms (scrubs) availableJob Duties and Responsibilities:Performs general and medical assisting duties according to state guidelines.Records and signs all pertinent information in the patient's chartTriage all patients according to Patient Plus standards.Instruct patients in the collection of samples and tests.Collects, accurately labels, and forwards specimens for laboratory analysis.Prepares patients and assists Providers with examination, treatments, and procedures.Prepares and administers medications and injections after verifying correct dosage Prepares examination rooms; sterilizes instruments for tests per established procedures.Thoroughly cleans equipment and examination rooms per policy.Demonstrates thorough knowledge of infection control procedures; strictly adheres to policies and procedures; washes hands before and after each patient contact.Instructs and arranges for patient testing and admissions.Responds to and refers appropriate incoming telephone calls to Providers.Instruct the patient regarding medication and treatment instructions before discharge.Posts tests and examination results to charts.Explains and distributes patient education material (if applicable).Answers patients' questions.Escorts patients to the appropriate area in the clinic when necessary.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSMedical Assistant Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program with one year of experience in an MA position.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Willing to attend continuing medical education courses at the employer's request.Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care.Skill in applying and modifying professional nursing principles, methods, and techniques to provide patient care.Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer care.Perception is necessary to observe pertinent details when reading thermometers, blood pressure devices, and other equipment gauges and to observe the patient's condition.Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.Ability to maintain quality control standards.Ability to interpret tests.Applies guidelines and procedures as indicated.Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.Strong positive interpersonal skills; Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing.High degree of initiative and sense of organization.
