Multi‑Axis CNC Operator — 3–4 Axis Mills & 2–4 Axis Lathes Can you turn complex blueprints into flawless parts?

Our family-run CNC shop is seeking a versatile operator who can navigate both mills and lathes with confidence and deliver parts that meet strict engineering and client specs.

The challenge
  • Study work orders, blueprints, and orthographic drawings to architect your machining plan.
  • Verify material availability, anticipate shortages, and prompt timely reorders.
  • Program equipment with accurate zero and reference points; optimize offsets for repeatability.
  • Set up workholding and tooling, including three- and four-jaw chucks and necessary attachments.
  • Load/position stock; validate settings with first-article checks and ongoing sampling.
  • Execute turning, facing, drilling, grooving, knurling, and thread-chasing operations to spec.
  • Maintain safety as a non-negotiable—follow procedures and regulations to the letter.
  • Keep machines healthy with preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
  • Capture production/quality data and ensure a smooth handoff between shifts.
  • Invest in your craft by participating in training and educational opportunities.

  • Proven ability to run CNC mills.
  • Comfort lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Confident with computers, controls, and technical details.

  • Proficiencies: CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, Swiss Screw
  • Machines: CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC), CNC Lathe (2–4 axis)
Role logistics
  • Location: Pacoima, CA
  • Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • Compensation: $20–$24 per hour, DOE
