LPN/LVN – Long-Term Care

Location: Utica, NY 13502
Duration: 13 weeks with a high possibility of extension
Shift: 10:30 PM–6:30 AM
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week
Break: 30-minute unpaid break

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide nursing care in a long-term care environment. The ideal candidate will have previous LTC experience, travel nursing experience, and proficiency with PointClickCare EMR.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established orders and protocols.
• Monitor residents' conditions and report changes to the appropriate healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Follow facility policies, procedures, safety standards, and infection-control practices.
• Utilize PointClickCare EMR for patient documentation and clinical records.
• Promote resident safety, comfort, dignity, and quality of care.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to support resident needs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) facility.
• Previous travel nursing experience with supporting documentation required.
• Active New York State LPN license required.
• BLS-AHA certification required.
• High School Diploma required.
• Experience with PointClickCare EMR required.
• Strong communication, clinical assessment, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Schedule & Compensation

• Night Shift: 10:30 PM–6:30 AM
• 37.5 hours/week
• 30-minute unpaid break
• Contract: 13 weeks with a strong possibility of extension
