CNC Lathe Machinist: Montgomery, Illinois
Our customer in Montgomery, Illinois is looking for motivated individuals to join their growing team as CNC Lathe Machinists. This is a full-time, 1st shift opportunity where you’ll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes to produce high-quality parts. The ideal candidate will bring a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and precision.
Responsibilities of the CNC Lathe Machinist:
- Set up and operate lathe machines for precision machining.
- Read blueprints and follow work instructions to meet specifications.
- Inspect parts using measuring tools like micrometers and calipers.
- Adjust machine settings for optimal performance and accuracy.
- Maintain and troubleshoot machines to ensure proper operation.
CNC Lathe Machinist Requirements and Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of machining practices
- Have mechanical aptitude and be able to read blue prints.
- Follow work instructions including set/up guidelines and routing documents.
- Possess basic mathematical skills.
- Be familiar with various gages and micrometers
- Basic knowledge of G and M code.
Pay for CNC Lathe Machinist: Starting at $21-$25/hour.
